“Send Me a GIF by Wire” 

A series of studies in video motion (boomerang) then translated into a wire (linear movement in space) which then translated into its final foam form (Mass)

Site-Specific Inflatables 

Practice site investigation to make an inflatable intervention in collaboration with 2-3 other students.

Flagging in Public

The Flag design will be centered on you/your beliefs/identity/ideals. You will create an accompanying “Flag Code” to dictate how people “should” interact with your flag. The class will perform the flag code during critique.

Reliquary - Intro to CNC Machining 

Select an object you hold as “sacred”. You will now construct a container that will either hide or announce the object inside while simultaneously protecting it. Consider form, function, structure, and surface.

Collaboration on Interactive Prints for Josh MacPhee’s “We Want Everything” show

Students worked in groups to decide on an issue they were passionate about and worked collaboratively to create 24” x 36” prints as well as an intervention during the opening of Josh MacPhee’s “We Want Everything” show in the Reinberger Gallery.

Experimental Poster Remix 24” x 30”

Students worked with the typeface digitally to create both Laser cut and vinyl-cut letterforms. They then “remixed” the forms onto a poster with hand-drawn/made elements.

100 Typefaces: A Sampler (2) 18” x 24”

Photograph 100 typefaces in public space (consider composition). Select two fragments and remake the typefaces in a hand-drawn typographic sampler with 6 letters and 1 special character
